This invoice generator makes a clean, printable PDF invoice from a simple form. It suits freelancers, small shops and anyone who bills a client now and then and doesn't want a monthly accounting subscription just to send a bill.

There is no account. The draft is saved only in your own browser so you can close the tab and come back, and the PDF is built on your device.

How to use

  1. Under Your business, add your logo (optional), your business or personal name, email or phone, and address.
  2. Under Bill to, enter the client's name and, if you like, their address and contact.
  3. In Invoice details, set the invoice number, issue date, due date and Currency. Pick Other to type a symbol or code that isn't listed.
  4. In Items, fill in a description, quantity and rate for each line. The amount works itself out. Use Add item for more lines and the X to delete one.
  5. Set Tax (%), a Discount (fixed amount or percent) and Shipping if they apply. The totals box updates as you type.
  6. Put bank details or payment terms in Notes / payment details.
  7. Press Download PDF. Next time, press New invoice: your business details, logo and notes stay, the client and items are cleared, and the invoice number goes up by one.

What a proper invoice should include

Accounts teams look for the same few things. A unique invoice number, so the payment can be matched and nobody pays twice. An issue date and a due date, so "pay soon" becomes a real deadline. Clear descriptions: "Website homepage design, 2 revisions" beats "design work". And how to pay you, which in Pakistan usually means bank name, account title and IBAN, or a mobile wallet number.

Keep invoice numbers in one sequence (INV-001, INV-002). Gaps or repeats make records harder to follow at tax time.

How tax and discount are calculated

The order matters, so here it is exactly. Say your items add up to Rs 20,000, you give a 10% discount and charge 16% sales tax, plus Rs 500 delivery.

  • Subtotal: Rs 20,000
  • Discount: 10% of 20,000 = Rs 2,000, leaving Rs 18,000
  • Tax: 16% of 18,000 = Rs 2,880
  • Shipping: Rs 500
  • Total: 18,000 + 2,880 + 500 = Rs 21,380

Tax is charged on the amount after the discount, and shipping is added at the end without tax. That matches how most small businesses bill. The right sales tax rate depends on your province, your service and your registration, so check the current rate with a tax adviser or your revenue authority. Rates change, and I can't give tax advice.

Currencies and special characters

The PDF uses a standard built-in font so it opens on any device. It covers English and accented European letters plus $, € and £, but not every script. The rupee sign ₹ prints as INR, and text in Urdu, Arabic or Hindi script would come out as question marks, so the form warns you when it spots any. Write names and descriptions in English letters for the invoice. For an unlisted currency, use letters like BDT or Tk rather than a symbol.

FAQ

Is this invoice generator free, and is my data stored?

It is free and needs no sign up. Your invoice is saved only in this browser's local storage so you can continue later; it is never sent to a server.

Can I add my company logo?

Yes. Use a PNG or JPG. A logo on a transparent or white background looks best, and it is scaled to fit the top left corner of the invoice.

How do I make an invoice in PKR?

PKR is the default currency. Amounts print as "Rs 15,000.00". Pick another currency from the list if your client pays in dollars or dirhams.

Will my draft still be there tomorrow?

Usually yes, on the same browser and device. It will be lost if you clear your browsing data or use a private window, so download the PDF before you close the tab.
